Andy Waldroup

Lead Pastor / Elder

Andy and his wife, Dana, have been married since 2004 and have 4 children:  Joshua, Matthew, Laurel, and Luke.  He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Kentucky and an M.Div from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  The Lord called him out of the engineering field to full-time vocational ministry in 2011.  Safe Harbor called him as lead pastor in March 2015.  Pastor Andy takes the primary lead in preaching and vision at Safe Harbor.

Chad Lindon

Pastor / Elder

Chad married his college sweetheart, Sandy, 30 years ago. They have 6 children, ages 13 to 26, one daughter-in-law and two beautiful granddaughters, Amelia, born in 2018 and Nora, born in 2020. Chad works at Toyota, has a BA in Management and has worked toward his Masters in Biblical Counseling from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Chad was ordained and installed as an elder in December 2018.

Simon Scholte

Pastor / Elder

Simon and his wife, Stacey, have been married since 1997 and have 7 children (Samantha, Alexandra, Carissa, Simon, Zachariah, Rebekah, and Levi) with 5 at home, one married (Samantha and David Rohn) living in Northwest Indiana, and one in full time ministry with Life Action in Michigan (Alexandra). Simon holds a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering and works for Piramal Pharma Solutions leading the Lexington Kentucky operations. He and his family have been members of SHBF since moving to Kentucky in 2019. He has faithfully served as a Deacon, and was ordained and installed as an elder in January of 2023.

Danny Bowen

Pastor / Elder

Danny has been a Christ-follower since the mid-1960s and has taught in the church since the late 1980s. He and Penny have been married since 1979 and they have two children—Brandon (married to Christa) and Andrea (married to Dale)—and three grandsons. Danny has been in healthcare since the mid-1970s and still practices anesthesia. Going back to school as an old guy, he added an M.Div. and Ph.D. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary to his B.S. in Nursing and M.S. in Nurse Anesthesia. He has taught at several universities and seminaries and currently serves as adjunct faculty and Director of Online Learning for Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Danny felt called to the pastorate as a youth, finally surrendered to the call in 2012 at Northside Baptist in Indianapolis, and was ordained and installed as an elder at Safe Harbor in 2023.
